Eligibility
The Spruce Grove Public Library issues cards to residents of
Spruce Grove and Parkland County. Proof of address is required.
Children ages 15 and under must be signed for by a parent and/or
guardian.
Library cards can be issued to non-residents for a differential
fee. Spruce Grove Public Library participates in the TAL
card program, permitting holders of almost any Alberta Public Library
card limited privileges at almost any other public library in Alberta. As
well, Spruce Grove Public Library cardholders are eligible for
the Reciprocal membership program in cooperation with Edmonton
Public Library, permitting accessing to EPL resources and services
at a significant cost savings.
Benefits
Your Library Card:
In addition to the wide variety of resources and services available
at the Spruce Grove Public Library, your Library Card gives
you seamless access to more than 150 public libraries in Alberta. A
shared web-based catalogue, known as TRACPAC, combined with
provincial delivery services, means nearly all the collections
of over 150 Alberta Public Libraries are available to order at
your fingertips.
The Alberta Library (TAL) Card:
Your Spruce Grove Library card is an Alberta Library card. The
Alberta Library, or TAL, is a program that allows you to borrow
up to five books at a time from more than 200 participating Alberta
Libraries.
Reciprocal Cards:
With a valid Spruce Grove Public Library card you can get an
Edmonton Public Library card for only $12 per year. With this
reciprocal membership, you can borrow books as well as audiovisual
materials. This
is currently a $60 savings.

Renewals
Renew your books in
person, by phone or through your
online account. Maximum
two renewals per item, provided the item is not on hold
for another customer.

Extended Loans

loans are available to accomodate vacations and other special
circumstances. Ask at the time of check out.
