Coco Avant Chanel. A beautiful, well-made film about one of the biggest Fashion Icons in the world. It is definitely a must see film! ~ Tiffany

Wives and Daughters (DVD Series) If you like the Jane Austen series produced by BBC, you will absolutely love this 4 epidosde series as well. Based on the novel by Elizabeth Gaskell, and set in the 1860's, the story follows the lives of Molly Gibson and her father, Dr. Gibson. It has a cast of engaging characters in a story of village life and Victorian manners. The setting is lovely, the acting is superb and it is a great treat to watch on a gray day. Put it on hold right away - it is in great demand and for good reason! ~ Celia
Ciao Bella By Janice Kirk and Gina Bounaguro. I stumbled on this notable book on a quest for something different to read. They say that all is fair in love and war. Is that really true? This book set in post WW II Italy will peer into the lives of three people- Canadian born Graziella, her disappeared venetian husband Ugo, and an American soldier Frank. The will face and discover the possibilities of love and redemption. It is a good and light read ~Tiffany
Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran. This is a great, fast paced historical fiction that will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. The story of Selene, the daughter of Marc Antony and Cleopatra, will move through a world in which children are disposable, women viewed as pawns in a political game and injustices are paraded through the streets of ancient Rome. I highly recommend this book. Moran beautifully weaves facts and fiction to bring out one of the best historical fiction novels I have read in a long time. Enjoy!! ~ Tiffany
Poe's Children Edited by Peter Straub. Out of 24 stories, three of them were worth reading. "Cleopatra brimstone", "The man on the ceiling", and "The voice of the beach" were the only ones worth reading. I was looking forward to reading this book, but unfortunatley it didn't live up to my expectation. The stories were not horror-like at all, and if this is the face of the "New Horror", I won't be reading much of it. ~ Laura
